Edward Williams currently serves on the Boards of BioAtla, Inc., BiomX, Inc., and Boone Memorial Health. From March 2020 to September 2022, Mr. Williams served as Special Advisor to the CEO and interim CCO at Ascendis Pharma, Inc.

Before his retirement in 2017, Mr. Williams served as Senior Vice President of Biopharmaceuticals at Novo Nordisk Inc., a global healthcare company, where he was responsible for the general management of the biotechnology business and, importantly, his fondness for its hemophilia and rare bleeding disorders businesses. Among several recognitions, perhaps the most significant have been the Industry Chair and Industry Partner of the Year by the previous NHF (National Hemophilia Foundation); and the Global General Manager of the Year by his previous employer.

He has served on numerous global committees including strategy, commercial, marketing, management and business development. Prior positions include Vice President of Sales at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp.

He attended Grambling State University and Marshall University, where he received his B.S. in biology and chemistry.

Mr. Williams is a member of the Innovative Hematology Board of Directors and a member of the Innovative Hematology Finance Committee.
