What do you like about IHTC and its approach to care?
IHTC care teams are dedicated to providing comprehensive care, work as a cohesive group and are enthusiastic about taking on new challenges—all for the good of the patients we serve.
What inspires you about your work?
The ability to care for a patient with a blood disorder through his lifespan with opportunities to impact that individual, his family and in a wider sphere in the community. It’s not just “health care delivery;” good health enhances your patient’s overall well-being, his outlook on life, his family interactions, happiness and his achievements in the community.
What aspect of your work are you the most passionate about?
There is unlimited opportunity to participate in groundbreaking research to help mold future care practices and guidelines for optimized care of patients with relatively rare disorders. Our specialized field has limited evidence-based guidelines for care of the complex disorders that we manage—so our research really allows IHTC to be a pioneer in these otherwise uncharted waters.
